OK ... OK ... I'm Still Playing

I've been having so much fun cutting into my new paper packs from Close To My Heart. These papers are from Florentine. In the beginning that pack was at the bottom of my "gotta have it" list. Now I can't figure out what I was thinking.

Here's another sketch from Daisy Collins ... she's posting a different sketch every day for February. I've done them all because they're so easy to follow. When I don't have to come up with the ideas and I have a pile of supplies in front of me I love a good sketch. Thank you Daisy.

Call 911 ...

... I think I'm having a heart attack!!! I set out to make a Valentine today and couldn't choose a heart stamp. So I used a bunch. Before you think about what it took to make that heart covered heart ... let me show you how crazy easy it is with Close To My Heart acrylic stamps.

It's easy to make your own custom stamps by mixing a variety onto one block.

And I had lots of other help too. The Close To My Heart Idea Book inspired me on page 65. Plus I'm still checking out sketch challenges. Here's todays sketch from Tsunami Rose.

So don't worry about me.  I'm not actually having a heart attack. This was all a lot easier than it might seem. When I go back to my workspace to clean up the explosion of paper, ribbon & brads I might get a little winded BUT otherwise I walk in perfect health.

S. E. S. (save every scrap)

Every scrap has a place in my little paper creating world. I can't throw away anything and today that makes me VERY happy. It also made creating this card from this sketch super fast and easy. If you haven't taken up the fine art of copying you're truly missing out. Some days the original ideas flow faster than my scissors can get busy, but most of the time it's a photo or a sketch that shakes something loose to make the most out of my supplies.  My goal in doing these is to keep my time to a minimum. With CTMH scraps  sorted by paper pack it's super easy. I didn't have to do any trimming on these other then clipping the ends at angles. Fast & Easy!!! That's my favorite kind of thing to make.
