CELEBRATE WITH CAKE - May 2016 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Stamp Of The Month Rose Blossoms Blog Hop.

You have either come here from Lynn Darda's Bungalow OR you're starting at this spot. Either way, make sure to click the link at the bottom so you can see what all of the Rose Blossoms have created for you with this great stamp set.

This month's set is called "Celebrate With Cake". To that I say, "yes please".
This set is available only in May. It's only $5 with a $50 purchase. You will have no trouble finding $50 because there are sooooooooooooo many brand new items that have just been released today.
Click here to see the stamp set AND start shopping.

Here's a stack of cards I've made with this adorable set.

Since I made the cards shown above and more I'm just going to highlight a couple. They're all the "same" but no two are exactly alike! It's difficult to pick a favorite but if I had to it might be this one because I love the way the cake turned out. To make these cakes I painted water color rectangles directly to water color paper before i did any stamping. You'll be able to see that sometimes that's a bit of a messy look BUT that's just how watercolors and I work together.

These cards were made with LOADS of love and just as many products. It's exciting to be showing you papers from one of our newest packets called Calypso. You MUST take a look on my website when this hop is over. (Just click on the word Calypso!)

Here are all the other CTMH products used ... Water Color Paints, Water Color Paper, Medium Water Brush (NEW), Lagoon Ink, Slate Pigment Ink, Craft Heater, Silver Embossing Powder, Silver Shimmer Trim, Florence Sequins, Pink Enamel Gems, Grey Enamel Gems, Bitty Sparkles, Liquid Glass, White Card Base, Twin Touch Markers and a variety of great tools.

Did you see where I mentioned Yellow Enamel Gems? No? Since there are white gems in the pack of grey you can have nearly any color you want by pulling out your Shin Han alcohol pens. I love the flexibility of these markers. They're also used to color the frosting swoops on some of these cakes.

Here's a card where I used liquid glass on the "plate". I promise you that when I sent this card I found the missing bitty bling and added it back. This card also shows the gems in white.

Here's just one more peek at a card that looks different even though the products are all the same.

I had so much fun with this set even though I've barely scratched the surface of everything it can do. Hop on to Kim Hill's blog - Violets and Sunshine to see more possibilities.

  3. I love your repetitive design and how you used the watercolors for the cake! I'm so gonna try that! We were kind of on the same wavelength with the Calypso papers. Perfect examples of combining pretty pieces.
