This stamp set has me thinking about waaaaaaaaaay too many ways that it can be colored or painted or embossed or any other number of creative ideas. Instead of running off in every direction I decided to do the most basic thing. Here's a card I made for you with ink and card stock. There are no fancy techniques or additional tools. It's so easy. I was able to use the majority of the stamps except for two of the sentiments. AND I love the results. It's colorful and subdued all at once.
I used the bell, stocking and present to make the background pieces by stamping the images side by side. Originally I thought those would turn out to be something else, but when you work with CTMH products things more or less create themselves.
Thank you for taking a look. Now it's time to hop over to Kristine's Blog to see what she did with these images. I'm guessing colored pencils!! BUT it's strictly a guess.
Shelly, I love your card! The tone on tone stamping is so pretty and I love the images you stamped and cut out! They remind me of iced Christmas cookies and who wouldn't love that?! Thanks for sharing a beautiful card anyone would be thrilled to receive!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kristine, it reminded me of Christmas gingerbread cookies! Love your card!
ReplyDeleteI was a bit disappointed to learn that the background was not Kraft, not gonna lie but your beautiful design and color choices made up for the disappointment, lol. Very pretty pieces indeed!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I love how the colors look with the Kraft paper.
ReplyDeleteOh my! There is such technique and so many ideas in this one card!! You really created a fun piece...please bring it to the crop so I can see it in person!!
ReplyDeleteIt may be simple, but it's beautiful...and full of fun things. I especially love that you created your own B&T for the panels!
