Artistry Rose Blossoms Blog Hop

Here we go with another fantastic Rose Blossoms Blog Hop. This time we're featuring the new Artistry Cricut Cartridge from CTMH. YIPPPPEEEEEEE!! You WILL love it. This cartridge is loaded with all kinds of great images with coordinating sentiments, borders and overlays. No matter whether you primarily make cards or scrapbook pages this cartridge is for EVERYTHING.

Maybe you're just getting started on the hop. Go ahead and read through and at the bottom you can jump to the next blog. If you've already been hopping you came from Lynn Darda's blog and surely you've gotten inspired there. Here's my creation.

It's a well known fact that I'm not a pet person. Just to clear things up, I'm not an animal hater. I just know I my limits on pet care. It wouldn't be fair to a pet. When my first child was born all of my gorgeous houseplants died within a few short months proving that I can only take care of one type of living thing at a time. It would be a shame to give a dog less than he deserves.

Anyhooooo ... my next door neighbors got this puppy and I adore him. We can visit in the backyard on a regular basis and that works for me. We have this stick connection even though it's against the rules. Once when I was taking care of him I also let him dig holes. (That's the tail wagging picture ar the top of the layout. Don't worry I covered the hole up before his "parents" got home) It's sort of like when a grandma gives her grandkids too many sweets. How can I resist?

Most everything I used on this scrapbook page was on one Cricut button. It's awesome how it all goes together to make this adorable layout. How about that puppy with the heart ... so Rigby shaped!

I love the new alphabet on this cartridge. I'm the first to admit that at first I didn't know what to think about the "missing" cuts in letters like "R" and "B". BUT this style has really grown on me. It's fun!

For the paws I cut one overlay and then sliced it to use on both sides of the page for a little balance. How about those bones!!! I love using the border AND the insides here and there. (I thought about changing the border to sticks from another cartridge because that's a Rigby thing but the bones were just too cute and they add a great balance to the top and bottom.)

I made this layout with the Jackson paper pack. You can still get this until the end of August. After that it's GONE!! It could even sell out before that once everyone sees how cute it is with dogs! I didn't want to add much more once the cuts were done so I just added a few Artisan Studs.

Now you get to hop on to Kim Hill's blog, Violets and Sunshine. You're sure to see something fantastic there. I can only imagine how great it will be.

  6. What a fun way to show your puppy love for your neighbor dog! I really like the way you sliced the background paw piece and used it on each side of the layout. I've done that with one of the floral pieces on a card but I really like how you made it work on a layout.
