Year >> Noted Blog Hop

Welcome to the Rose Blossoms Year >> Noted Blog Hop. I hope you popped in to see some amazing artwork, because the Rose Blossoms never disappoint! If you've never blog hopped before all you have to do is click on the link at the end of my blog post and you'll be able to move on to the next person in the hop. If you came here from Barbara's lovely blog then you've already been hopping.

I've made a scrapbook page with the items that come in the Year >> Noted pack.

On January 1st I set out to create some new habits and maintain some existing one. I don't like to call it resolutions or even goals. These are all healthy habits that make me a better me, inside and out. Why did I put a photo of my family here? These people are my motivation. I would do anything for them ... even drink 8 glasses of water every day!! I looooooooooove my family. We have a lot of great times ahead of us so I want to be the best wife/mom I can be for those things.

I made a list of 15 things I'd like to do every single day in 2015. OF COURSE that seems a bit intimidating but I have it broken down into three categories to keep it memorable. Each of those pretty patterned papers has a pocket underneath that contains a list of things. I've broken down my list into three categories - Body, Soul and Spirit. Do you see how they pull out?

I have all of these things written out in detail in my personal journal so here I kept it short and sweet. The stamp set included in the pack was used to create the lines and boxes on this card.

Are you ready for a few extreme close ups just to see some of the details on this page? Here goes ...

A little gold shimmer trim and an aqua dot go really well with these foil stickers.

Not a single piece of paper goes to waste if I can help it.

Here's a happy accident. My fingers were a little too inky when I went to put my page together.  BUT ... Ta Da ... those adorable gold triangles helped me cover a bunch of smudges and they really finish off the pockets.

Check out that stamped border. I am personally amazed at how easy it was to create. I used Desert Sand, Cocoa, Lagoon and Sorbet inks. This die cut is from ARTbooking, except it's supposed to say "10".

Are you ready to see something fantastic??
Hop on to Kim Hill's Blog.

Here's a picture of everything that comes in the Year >> Noted kit.

  1. Oh Shelly! I can see why you felt like you swam the Mississippi! This layout is so touching, and so YOU. You have taken apart the pieces and put them down on one very memorable page that your kids will surely look back on and smile. BTW, I LOVE that cleaning the house was AFTER creating!! :)

  11. Shelly, there are so many things I love about his layout: the concept, the pockets, the title and the wonderful photo. But my favorite part is the stamped border, how creative! I am going to have to try that. Thanks for the inspiration!
