Color Dare #18

It's difficult to talk about but ... my creativity seems to have left the building. If it was only for a few days I wouldn't mention it. BUT it's been weeks ... pressing on toward months. It's a bit unsettling.

Thank you to two of my favorite challenge blogs. I've used Color My Heart  (www.colormyheartcolordare.blogspot.com) combined with the sketch from Operation Write Home (http://operationwritehome.org). Thank you to both. These blogs are like creative therapy. My creative muscle gets a little workout every time I do these.

Eventually I plan to be back to full strength. In the meantime thank you for your patience!

Here's another bit of copying. I got this adorable birthday card from my dear friend Bonnie Seeman. (She gave me permission to show her card)

I used the color dare colors and Bonnie's design to put this card together.

  1. Thanks for the reminder!!! I wanted to do this color dare because I LOVE the combination! I have until tomorrow, right? And wow, do those accents round it out! I better hit the clearance section again! ;) Beautiful--hope your creative juices are overflowing soon my friend!

    1. YES ... I'm surprised you didn't invent this color dare Amie. You do have until tomorrow. You just have to know that at one point I had no idea what to do so I thought, "What would Amie do?". Shimmer trim to save the day. Even if my creativity is flat I can still copy everyone else.

  2. If these cards are examples of your creativity being flat, then your other cards must be out of this world dynamic. Love them all! How did you do the white bow on the 1st card?

    1. Josie ... you're sweet. I don't think my own original creations are anything special. It's just weird to look at all of the stuff I have to work with and not really get excited or have any ideas. I usually have more ideas swimming around in my head than I have time for. These days I've got ..... nothin'.

The "bow" on the 1st card is one of the silver flowers from a previous embellishment pack. There were three flowers and three butterflies ... they were coordinated with the Bliss paper pack.

  3. Shelly, I love your cards. The first one especially. Don't you just love challenges to help you out with your mojo? (This is my most recent challenge card. Check it out: sarahstonecreations.blogspot.com/2012/11/gratitude.html) Thanks for joining in at Color My Heart this week, and I hope your creativity comes back soon!

    1. Thank You Sarah ... I finally understand what the word mojo means. I still don't really know what it stands for, but I've heard people say they've lost theirs. Now I get it.
